Representatives of nine Belarusian democratic youth organizations announced the creation of the coalition to fight for the spiritual and national revival of Belarus on the foundation of Christian values.

The coalition "New Generation" included: "Young Front", movement "Together", Youth of BCD, "Right Alliance", "Initiative", Free Youth, "Youth of BPF", " Youth of "People's Society” and " Young Democrats” .

Former youth leader Pavel Sevyarinets predicts great future for the young.

Pavel Sevyarinets: "Centripetal tendencies in the national movement are the rule. Everything goes to unity. There are reasons for it. The first is that there comes election campaign. And simply comes time when the national movement should be followed by Ray, to be the leader in the democratic movement. This is on the initiative of "old" politicians."

Why cannot young people operate within the political structures, but get detached?

Pavel Sevyarinets: "It's natural. How independent the youth is, so it is effective. It is a natural unit; it is on the social ideology. We have a dozen organizations fighting for the revival of Belarus on Christian principles. This is a historic trend. Movement of young people is take-off. The new ideology is growing, like an outlook, which will be in a new Belarus."

Lleaders and representatives of organizations have signed up the agreement just in the street near the Yanka Kupala Park under the watchful eye of police. But the police did not have to intervene, as young people did not violate, no street action was held and even planned.

Political analyst Yury Chavusau advises us not to exaggerate the influence of youth on the real political processes.

Yury Chavusau: "Youth in Belarusian politics is a significant direction in connection with a focus on street fighting techniques, which requires a great number of young people. On the other hand, the exaggeration of youth directions is a mistake. 2 years ago, young people expressed distrust to the old opposition. Distrust to strategy. Youth uniting makes sense when there is a clear strategy.

The youth signed the creation of a coalition against on the basis of preparations for the election campaign. And this, according to Yuri Chavusau, questioned the effectiveness of the initiative. In the context of non-revolutionary scenario, in terms of evolutional concept of the struggle for democratic change in Belarus, this phenomenon has become hot news. This is the uniting of resources, both human and financial."

Yuri Chavusau also recalled the experience of former youth coalitions. Since 2001, they had not participated on the political arena. The only thing they could do was to criticize the old opposition. This was most clearly demonstrated after the disappointment in 2006, after the Square.
